Ingredients:

• cleaned Prawns – 250 gm
• oil – 2 tbsp
• finely chopped Onion – 2 tbsp
• finely chopped Garlic – 1 tsp
• coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
• chilli powder – 1 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• salt and pepper – to taste
• bread – 4 slices
• Milk – 1/3 cup
• eggs – 2, lightly beaten
• Egg and bread crumbs to coat
• oil for deep frying

Method:

  1. Saute the prawns with onion and garlic in oil. Add coriander and chilli, turmeric powder, salt and pepper.
  2. When the prawns are cooked, cool and mince the mixture.
  3. Remove crust from bread, cut into pieces and soak in milk. Mash and add to prawn mixture.
  4. Add lightly beaten eggs and mix well. Cook the mixture on low flame, stirring all the time till it is thick enough to hold its shape.
  5. Cool and shape into bite size balls. Roll in bread crumbs, then in beaten egg and in bread crumbs again. Deep fry till golden brown. Serve hot.
