Ingredients:
• 1 cup Toor dhal
• 2-3 cups Water
• 1-2 tsp Oil
• 1-2 tsp Mustard Seeds
• 1 Onion
• 1-2 Tomatoes
• 1/2 tbsp Jeera (cumin) seeds
• 1 tsp Turmeric powder
• 1/2 to 1 tsp Ginger paste
• A few Green chillies
Method:
- Cook the dal in water.
- Meanwhile, chop onions and tomatoes and keep aside.
- Heat oil. Add mustard seeds. When they pop, add onions.
- Fry onions till they turn brown.
- By this time dal should be done. Stir it and mix it.
- Add the dal and green chillies into the frying pan and mix everything together.
- Take the ginger paste (to make it easier to stir, put the paste in a little bit of water,) the turmeric powder, jeera seeds, mix the solution and mix in with dal.
- Cook for about 10 minutes after. Eat with rice.
