
Ingredients:
• Dondakayya – 1 kg
• Salt – to taste
• Red Chilli powder – 3 tsp
• Curry leaves – 1 fistful
• Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Oil – 2 tbsp
• Onions – 2 (medium size)
Method:
- Cut dondakaya into round slices of 2-3 mm thickness. Boil in pressure cooker for 15 minutes, without water.
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Add curry leaves, cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
- Fry chopped onions in it till they turn brown in colour.
- Add dondakaya and fry in it for 10-20 mins and add some turmeric powder, chilli powder and fry till the masalas are cooked.
- Remove from flame and serve hot with roti or rice.
