Ingredients:

• 2 – green chillies, sliced
• 4 – dry red chillies, sliced
• 1 – Coconut
• 3 tbsp – cooking oil
• 100 g – dried Prawns
• 1 – ginger, sliced
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 2 – medium-sized onions, sliced
• salt to taste
• a little Tamarind
• a little Turmeric powder

Method:

  1. Clean and wash the dried prawns.
  2. Grind the masala. Remember to remove the fibres and seeds from the tamarind.
  3. Fry the sliced masala of green chillies, ginger and 1 onion in cooking oil.
  4. Add the prawns and fry.
  5. Stir continuously until brown.
  6. Add the ground masala and its water and the other ingredients. Cook for some time. Add salt to taste.
  7. Cook until the onions are soft, stirring frequently.
  8. When done, add the scraped coconut.
  9. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
