Ingredients:
• 1 kg – dudhi
• 300 g – Sugar
• 1 litre – Milk
• 10 tbsp – Ghee
• 10 Cardamoms (powdered)
• 15 to 20 strands Saffron (soaked in 1 tbsp Milk for few minutes)
• 8 to 10 sliced Almonds for garnishing
Method:
- Wash and grate the dudhi .
- Squeeze out the water from the grated dudhi.
- Lightly heat ghee in a heavy bottomed vessel and fry the dudhi on a medium flame, till ghee separates.
- Add milk, powdered cardamoms and saffron.
- When the mixture is fairly dry, add the sugar and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Place the vessel on a preheated tava and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Garnish with sliced almonds.
