Ingredients:

• 4 – large Potatoes
• 1 cup – oil for deep fry
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Peel and wash the potatoes.
  2. Cut each potato into 4 or 5 thick slices, then cut each slice into strips.
  3. Wrap the strips in a clean towel to dry them.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
  5. Slide in a few strips at a time and fry on high heat until golden brown. Drain the fries on kitchen paper.
  6. Sprinkle salt.
