
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Dry Green peas
• 1 2/3 cup – Paneer cubes
• 1 – Medium onion, chopped
• 2 – Garlic Cloves
• 1/2 tsp – fresh Ginger
• 2 – medium Tomatoes
• 1 tsp – Turmeric
• 1 tsp – ground Coriander
• Coriander leaves
• 1 cup – Water
• 1/2 tsp – Chilli powder
• 6 tbsp – Oil
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Soak dry peas overnight and pressure cook till tender. Drain and set aside.
- Blend onion, ginger and garlic together.
- Blend tomatoes separately into a paste.
- Heat oil in a saucepan and fry paneer cubes until they turn golden brown.
- Drain on a paper and set aside.
- In remaining oil, fry onion paste until golden brown, stir in tomato paste and fry for 2 minutes until oil comes to the top.
- Add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander and salt and continue to fry for another 2 minutes.
- Add boiled peas and stir to mix with the spices.
- Add water and bring to a boil, cover and simmer on low flame for 5 minutes.
- Add fried paneer and simmer for 10 minutes more.
- Finally, garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with chapattis, naan or parathas.
