Ingredients:
• 2 cups – quick cooking oats
• 1/2 cup – cornmeal
• 1/2 cup – all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp – baking powder
• 1/2 tsp – baking soda
• 1/4 cup – Sugar
• 1/4 cup – walnuts, chopped coarsely
• 1/2 cup – Apple sauce
• 3 tbsp – Canola Oil
• 1/4 cup – Sugar
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Mix quick cooking oats, cornmeal, all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, apple sauce, canola oil and chopped walnuts and knead everything to a dough.
- Dust the dough with few spoons of all-purpose flour.
- Roll the dough with a rolling pin to a thick disc.
- Cut the disc into 8 wedges and transfer this to a baking sheet, leaving at least few space in between the scones.
- Brush on top of the scones with canola oil and bake them for 20 minutes.
