Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – French beans
• 3 – Raw bananas or 1/2 kg – Potatoes
• 1 tsp – Black Peppercorns
• 2 – dry Red Chillies
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/4 – fresh Coconut (grated)
• 3 tsp – cooking oil
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• Few Curry leaves
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cut the vegetables into big pieces.
  2. Boil them with 4 glasses of water, turmeric powder and salt.
  3. Grind pepper, red chillies and half of the grated coconut with a little water.
  4. Add this ground mixture to the boiled vegetables.
  5. In a hard bottom pan, pour oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves and the remaining grated coconut
  6. Fry till coconut turns colour and add the boiled vegetable mixture
  7. If it turns out too thick, you can add water.
