Ingredients:

• Boneless fish or salmon fish – 1/2 kg
• Split peas dhal – 50 g
• Egg -1
• Oil to fry
• To grind:
• Pearl Onions
• Ginger – 1 inch piece
• Garlic – 5
• Saunf – 1 tsp
• Cinnamon – small piece
• Cloves -2
• Cardamom – 1(small)
• Few Coriander leaves
• Green chillies -2
• Red Chillies -3
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash the fish and steam. When it cools down, remove the skin and smash well.
  2. Grind split peas dhal to fine powder and keep it aside.
  3. Grind all the given items to fine thick paste.
  4. Add small amount of water while grinding.
  5. Add ground paste, egg, split peas, dhal powder to the smashed fish and smash the mixture well.
  6. Make small fish balls (gooseberry size) and deep fry.
  7. Serve with steamed rice.
