Ingredients:

• 500 gm – fish (preferably hammour)
• 4 tbsp – chick pea flour
• salt to taste
• For the Marinade:
• 1 large onion, finely sliced
• 1 tbsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Mango powder
• 1 tsp – Lemon juice
• 3 tbsp – Yoghurt
• 4 tbsp – roasted chick pea flour
• 2 tbsp – Cream
• food color (optional)
• oil for deep frying and basting
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Mix salt and chick pea flour in a bowl and mix the fish in it.
  2. Keep aside for one hour.
  3. Wash and pat dry.
  4. Deep fry the onions in oil till brown.
  5. Drain and make into a paste with a little water.
  6. Mix all the ingredients of the marinade in a bowl along with the onion paste.
  7. Mix in the fish and refrigerate for 3 hours.
  8. Oil the skewers and cook in a tandoor basting with oil 2-3 times.
