
Ingredients:
• 3 medium size apples
• 2 large Banana
• 100 gm – seedless black Grapes
• 100 gm – seedless Dates
• 2 tbsp – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Butter
• 1/2 cup, coarsely powdered – Sugar
• 2 Egg
• 1 tsp – Orange essence
• 1 and a half cup – all-purpose flour (Maida)
• 1 and a half tsp – baking powder
• 3 tbsp – Milk
• 2 tbsp – blanched and peeled Almonds
• Cream or ice Cream to serve
Method:
- Peel, core and slice the apples thinly. Peel and slice the bananas. Cut the grapes into halves. Chop the dates.
- Grease an oven proof glass dish.
- Mix all the fruits together and place in the dish. Sprinkle with 2 tbsp of sugar and 1 tbsp of water.
- Preheat the oven to 170 C
- Beat butter and sugar till light. Beat the eggs lightly with essence and add little at a time to butter-sugar mixture, beating well all the time.
- Mix flour with baking powder and add to the beaten mixture with milk. Mix gently till smooth.
- Spread carefully over the fruit mixture.
- Bake till the topping is well risen, golden brown and firm in the centre. (about 35- 40 minutes)
- Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
