Ingredients:

• 1 1/4 cups – unsifted flour
• 1/4 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – cold margarine or Butter
• 1 can (14 oz) – sweetened condensed Milk
• 1/2 cup – unsweetened cocoa
• 1 Egg
• 2 tbsp – coffee-flavored liqueur or 1 tsp instant coffee dissolved in 1 tbsp – hot water
• 1 tsp – vanilla extract
• 1/2 tsp – baking powder
• 3/4 cup – chopped nuts

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of flour and sugar.
  3. Cut in margarine until crumbly.
  4. Make a dough and press firmly on bottom of 13×9-inch baking pan.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, cocoa, egg, remaining 1/4 cup flour, liqueur, vanilla and baking powder; mix well.
  7. Stir in nuts, spread over prepared crust.
  8. Bake for another 20 minutes or until the center is set.
  9. Cool. Frost if desired.
  10. Store tightly covered at room temperature.
