Ingredients:

• 10-12 – button Mushrooms
• 2-3 – Cloves finely chopped Garlic
• 1 tbsp – Garlic paste
• 1 – large Egg
• Pinch of salt
• 1.5 tsp – crushed black pepper
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 cup – Suji or bread crumbs
• Oil to deep fry
• For Garlic sauce:
• 1 cup – mayo
• 3-4 tbsp – Hot and sweet Tomato chilli magi sauce
• Chopped Spring onions or Parsley for garnishing

Method:

  1. Clean mushrooms, dry and leave them aside for a few minutes.
  2. Beat egg and mix garlic paste, salt, pepper, and chilli powder with the beaten egg.
  3. Marinate mushrooms in this mixture for about 3-4 hours.
  4. Take suji in a ziploc bag or container. Add the marinated mushrooms and briskly shake the container to coat mushrooms well.
  5. Deep fry these mushrooms by gently placing each one in preheated oil.
  6. Set aside the mushrooms for a few minutes on a paper to drain oil.
  7. To make the garlic sauce:
  8. Add finely chopped garlic in mayo.
  9. If you desire, add grated garlic.
  10. Add Maggi sauce (If this sauce is not available, add 1 tsp red chilli powder to 3 tbsp of tomato ketchup) and check if mayo contains salt.
  11. Garlic sauce ready.
  12. In a serving platter, place fried mushrooms and top each mushroom with 1 tbsp of garlic sauce.
  13. Garnish with finely chopped spring onions on each mushroom or fresh parsley.
