Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup – Maize germ
• 2 cups – water
• salt to taste
• 1 tsp – Ghee

Method:

  1. Wash maize germ well.
  2. Add water and salt.
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously, to avoid forming lumps.
  4. Cover loosely and cook on very low flame.
  5. Stir frequently and add more water if required.
  6. Takes about 25-30 minutes to cook well.
  7. Take off fire, add ghee, stir well and serve with curd or hot milk and sugar.
