Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – white pumpkin
• 100 g – Red Pumpkin
• 1 – Sweet Potato
• 1 – Potato
• 100 g – Yam
• 1/4 cup – Chickpeas (soaked overnight)
• 100 g – French beans
• 1/4 – fresh Coconut (grated)
• 1 tsp – Sesame seeds
• 2 tsp – Coriander seeds
• 1 tsp – Channa dal
• 1/4 tsp – Urad Dal
• 5 – Dried red chillies
• Salt to taste
• Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Cooking Oil
• 1 cup – Tamarind extract

Method:

  1. Pressure cook the vegetables.
  2. In a heavy-bottomed pan, add oil, coriander seeds, sesame seeds, channa dal, urad dal and saute till the lentils start to change colour.
  3. Add the coconut and saute for some time.
  4. Grind the lentils and coconut smoothly.
  5. Add the tamarind extract, salt and turmeric powder to the boiled vegetables.
  6. Boil for some time.
  7. Add the ground mixture to the vegetables and boil for five minutes.
