
Ingredients:
• 500 g – plain flour/maida
• 1 tsp – salt
• 250 g – Butter or margarine
• 5 tbsp – water
• 250 g – cheese, shredded
• 1 tbsp – pepper powder
• oil for frying
Method:
- Sift the flour, salt and pepper powder together.
- Empty into a bowl and add butter and cheese. Mix lightly with a fork.
- Now add water bit by bit until the flour is moistened and forms a ball (add a little more water if required).
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll out into a rectangle shape about 1/4 inch thick.
- Cut the dough into 3-inch strips.
- Heat oil in a pan and Deep Fried the strips golden brown.
- Drain and serve.
