Ingredients:

• 1.5 cup – basmati rice, washed well
• 2 onions, chopped
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• 1 cup – tender peas
• 5 tbsp – oil
• 1 egg, hard-boiled, shelled, sliced
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat sugar in a pressure cooker till it caramelizes.
  2. Add oil and heat. Add onions. Brown.
  3. Add rice and peas and stir fry till golden.
  4. Add salt and 5.5 cups hot water.
  5. Cook under pressure for 7 mins.
  6. Cool and transfer to a serving dish.
  7. Decorate with egg slices.
