Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Maida or all purpose flour
• 1/8 cup – besan
• 2 – Green chillies (grated)
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/4 cup – buttermilk
• 1 tbsp – grated Coconut
• 1/2 tsp – Sugar
• A pinch of baking soda
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. In a bowl, pour buttermilk, add salt, sugar, baking soda, cumin seeds, grated coconut, grated green chillies, maida and besan.
  2. Make the batter a little thick. Keep it aside for 2 to 3 hours.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai. Spoon a small scoop of the batter into hot oil. Fry till done.
  4. Enjoy this dish with coconut and coriander chutney especially when it is hot and crispy.
