Ingredients:
• Capsicum – 3
• Rice – 1 cup
• Onion – 1
• Mustard Seeds – for seasoning
• Asafoetida – a pinch
• Red Chillies – 6
• Cumin – 1/2 tsp –
• Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• Curry leaves – few
• Coriander leaves – a few
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Cut capsicum into medium sized pieces.
- Slice onion. Heat oil in a pressure pan.
- Add mustard seeds, red chillies, curry leaves and asafoetida for seasoning.
- When mustard seeds splutter, add cumin and coriander powder.
- Add onion and fry till light golden brown.
- Add capsicum, turmeric powder, salt and fry for 1-2 mins.
- Add rice and enough water
- When done, garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve
