
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – green gram dal
• 10 – pearl Onions
• 2 – Tomato
• 1 tbsp – Red Chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• asafoetida, a pinch
• curry leaves, small quantity
• coriander leaves, small quantity
• 1 tsp – mustard
• 1 tsp – black gram dal
• 2 – Red Chillies
• 1 tsp – Fenugreek
Method:
- Wash and soak green gram dal in water and place in cooker, adding 3 cups of water with 1 tsp turmeric powder, asafoetida and a tsp oil.
- Chop onions, tomatoes and keep other ingredients ready.
- Heat oil in a kadai, splutter mustard seeds, black gram dal, red chillies, curry leaves and add onions followed by tomatoes.
- Fry them well.
- Now add boiled dal to it.
- Add some salt and mix them well.
- Allow it to boil for 10 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
