
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – dry Green peas
• 15 – Jackfruit seeds (cooked)
• 1 – Onion (chopped)
• 1 – Tomato (chopped)
• 3 – Green chillies (slit opened)
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1 tbsp – coriander powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 – Bay Leaves
• 1 tsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 2 tbsp – Coriander leaves (chopped)
• Salt
• Oil
• To grind:
• 1 tsp – peppercorns
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp – Fennel seeds
• 1/4 cup – grated Coconut
• 1 tbsp – Poppy Seeds
Method:
- Soak the dry green peas overnight and cook in hot water with salt until half cooked, drain the excess of water and keep aside.
- Grind all the ingredients in the list into a fine paste and keep aside.
- Heat enough oil in a kadai, add the bay leaves and fry until they turn brown.
- Add the chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and saute everything.
- Add the half cooked green peas, jackfruit seeds, turmeric powder and add the grounded paste to the kadai, cook everything on sim for a few minutes.
- Add coriander powder, garam masala powder, and cook with the lid closed.
- Add enough water to the kadai and cook on medium flame for a few minutes. Add coriander leaves.
