Ingredients:

• 2 cups – ripe Guava chunks
• 2 sticks – Cinnamon
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 1 tsp – Lime juice

Method:

  1. Boil the guava chunks with the cinnamon and pinch of salt in sufficient water till very soft.
  2. Strain through a wire strainer and keep only the juice.
  3. Throw away the seeds and the residue.
  4. Pour the juice in a suitable pan and add the sugar, lime juice and a small stick of cinnamon.
  5. Simmer till the sugar melts and the mixture thickens.
  6. Cool and store.
