
Ingredients:
• 1.5 cups – Chana dal, soaked in water, drained
• 3 green chillies, minced
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1 cup – coriander leaves, minced
• 1/2 cup – coconut, ground
• 1/2 cup – spinach, cooked, ground
• 1/4 tsp – soda bi carb
• Oil
• Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
- Grind half the dal coarsely. The other half finely.
- Add a pinch of soda bi carb to each portion.
- To the coarse paste, add half of the chillies, turmeric, half of the coriander leaves, coconut, salt and pepper.
- Make flat balls and deep fry in hot oil.
- In the fine paste, add garam masala, remaining chillies, coriander leaves, spinach, salt and pepper.
- Make flat balls and deep fry in hot oil.
- Arrange in alternate layers while serving.
