Ingredients:

• 6 large Chicken legs, skinned
• 1/2 cup – flour (maida)
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – mustard powder
• 2 tsp – pepper
• Oil for frying
• Salt to taste
• For the sauce:
• 8 Tomatoes
• 1 tbsp – Garlic paste
• 2 cups – spring onions, chopped
• 12 mushrooms, chopped
• 12 Walnut kernels, crushed
• Oil and salt as needed

Method:

  1. Cook tomatoes and pass through a sieve to get juice.
  2. Heat 5 tbsps. oil. Add mushrooms. Fry and set aside.
  3. Fry walnuts. Drain and set aside.
  4. Add garlic and onions.
  5. Add tomato juice, mushrooms and walnuts.
  6. Season with salt and simmer till blended.
  7. Now roll chicken pieces in a mixture of flour, chilli, mustard and pepper powder.
  8. Fry in hot oil and remove.
  9. Pressure cook in a little water for 7 minutes till done.
  10. Add chicken with gravy to the tomato mixture.
  11. Blend well and serve.
