
Ingredients:
• For chutney:
• Urad Dal – 3 tsp
• Fenugreek (methi) seeds – 1/4 tsp
• Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Pepper Corns – 5-6
• Red Chillies – 1-2
• Green chillies – 1-2
• Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
• Fresh coriander – 1 tbsp
• Fresh grated Coconut – 1 small cup
• Sugar – 1/2 tsp
• Salt (to taste)
• Hing (a pinch)
• Sour Curd – 2 -3 cups
• For seasoning:
• Oil – 2 tsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1tsp
• Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Red Chilli – 1 (split into two pieces)
Method:
- Roast urad dal, fenugreek, cumin, pepper corns, red chillies with a pinch of hing on medium flame till you get good aroma and dal becomes brown.
- Grind the above with coconut, haldi, salt, sugar, fresh coriander and green chillies to a chutney consistency.
- Take curd in a big bowl and beat till it blends. Then pour chutney and mix well.
- Season with mustard, cumin and red chillies, decorate with chopped fresh coriander.
- Serve with veg pulao, biriyani, any mixed rice.
