Ingredients:
• 185g – Plain flour
• 100g – Butter, pieces
• 110 g – Caster Sugar
• 1 egg- yolk
• 1 tbsp – Milk, approximately
• 110g – Chocolate hazelnut spread
• 2 tbsp – Hazelnut meal.
Method:
- Combine the flour, sugar and butter until it becomes crumbly.
- Add the egg yolk and milk and knead the dough until smooth.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Now flatten the dough between two sheets of baking paper to form a 20 cm by 30 cm rectangle.
- Now place the chocolate hazelnut spread in the middle of the dough rectangle.
- Then sprinkle the hazelnut meal on top of it.
- Roll the dough tightly to enclose the filling.
- Now put in a plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 mins.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius. Grease and line two baking trays.
- Remove the plastic from the dough slice roll into 1 cm pieces.
- Place these slices about 2 cm apart on trays.
- Bake for 20 mins.
- Cool on a wire rack .
