Ingredients:

• Hilsa fish – 1 kg
• 25 g – mustard paste (mustard ground with 1 tbsp of Curd and 7 green chillies).
• Banana leaves – cut into rectangular shape to cover each fish piece.
• 1 tbsp – salt.
• 2 – tbsp mustard oil.
• Thread to tie the Banana leaves.

Method:

  1. Wash fish and keep it aside for 1/2 an hour after rubbing with salt and turmeric.
  2. Now marinate for 1 hour, with mustard paste adding 2 tbsp mustard oil along with it
  3. Take one rectangular piece of banana leaf and cover one marinated fish piece, repeat.
  4. Tie each cover with a thread
  5. Now preheat the oven for 150 degree celsius for 10 mins.
  6. Take a baking tray, grease it with 1 tsp mustard oil and keep the tied fish pieces evenly on the tray and bake it for 35 to 40 Minutes.
  7. Remove the thread and serve.
