
Ingredients:
• 4 medium – potato, boiled and peeled
• 1 tsp – ginger, grated
• 2 – green chillies, chopped
• 2 – tomatoes, chopped
• 2tsp – coriander leaves, chopped
• Spices:
• 1/2 tsp – asafetida
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/ tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• Salt to taste
• 2 tbsp – clarified butter(ghee) + 1/2 tsp
• Water as required
Method:
- Heat clarified butter and add asafoetida, cumin seeds and ginger and stir for a while.
- Add all spices and salt, maintain low flame.
- Now add chopped tomatoes and green chillies.
- Mix and cook till butter separates.
- Add smashed potatoes and few coriander leaves, toss well and press them gently with spatula.
- Pour 4 -5 cups of water and cook for 10-15 minutes till water blends with potatoes and butter comes out.
- Add chopped coriander and 1/2 tsp clarified butter .
- Serve hot.
