
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – horse gram
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• Salt to taste
• 2 – onions, chopped
• 4 or 5 Curry leaves
• 2 tbsp – oil
Method:
- Soak horse gram in water for a few hours.
- Wash well and pressure cook it with 2 cups of water and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder till cooked but ensure that it is not too soft.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions and curry leaves till they turn golden brown.
- Add the cooked horse gram, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt and stir well.
- Simmer on low heat for a few minutes.
- Serve as a side dish with rice or bread.
