
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – Cooked Rice
• 1 – Onion (chopped)
• 6 – Garlic Cloves (chopped)
• 1 tbsp – Mustard Seeds
• 5 – Dry Red Chillies
• Salt
• Oil
• Few Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1/4 tsp – Asafetida powder
Method:
- Grind the mustard seeds, dry red chillies with salt into a fine powder.
- Heat enough oil in a large kadai, splutter the mustard seeds and urad dal along with asafoetida powder.
- Add the chopped garlic, saute until it turns slightly brown.
- Now add the onions, curry leaves and cook until the onions turns translucent.
- Add the cooked rice, ground spice powder to the onions and toss everything gently, until the rice is mixed well.
- Serve with raitas or papads.
