Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Cooked Rice
• 1 – Onion (chopped)
• 6 – Garlic Cloves (chopped)
• 1 tbsp – Mustard Seeds
• 5 – Dry Red Chillies
• Salt
• Oil
• Few Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1/4 tsp – Asafetida powder

Method:

  1. Grind the mustard seeds, dry red chillies with salt into a fine powder.
  2. Heat enough oil in a large kadai, splutter the mustard seeds and urad dal along with asafoetida powder.
  3. Add the chopped garlic, saute until it turns slightly brown.
  4. Now add the onions, curry leaves and cook until the onions turns translucent.
  5. Add the cooked rice, ground spice powder to the onions and toss everything gently, until the rice is mixed well.
  6. Serve with raitas or papads.
