Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – Mutton
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 5 cup – water
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 5 – Onions
• 1/2 kg – Rice
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 3 pods – Cardamoms
• 3 sticks – Cinnamon
• 6 – Cloves
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cut the meat into big 1-inch pieces and wash.
  2. Heat two tbsps ghee in a big pan and put meat in it. Saute.
  3. When it is brown and dry, add 4 cups of hot water and salt to taste.
  4. Cover with a lid and allow to boil till the meat is soft and cooked.
  5. Cut the onions into thin slices and fry them in a frying pan till brown. Drain and keep aside.
  6. Wash the rice.
  7. Heat remaining ghee in a vessel, and put the rice in.
  8. Stir frequently till it becomes brown.
  9. Then add the liquid the meat was cooked in and spices.
  10. If needed add enough water to come 1-inch above the rice.
  11. Boil till the rice is almost cooked.
  12. Then add the meat and mix.
  13. Put the dish in a microwave oven and cook it till done.
  14. Spread the fried onion on the rice as garnishing.
