Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Milk
• 2 – bread slices
• 1/4 cup – condensed Milk
• 2 tbsp – Sugar
• Tsp – Cardamom (elaichi) powder
• A few Saffron strands

Method:

  1. Remove the crusts of the bread slices and discard.
  2. Grind the bread slices in food processor to make fresh bread crumbs.
  3. Keep aside.
  4. Bring the milk to boil in a heavy bottom pan.
  5. Add the fresh bread crumbs, condensed milk and sugar and cook on a high flame, while stirring continuously (approx. 10 minutes).
  6. Remove from the fire, add the cardamom powder and saffron and mix well.
  7. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours and serve chilled.
