
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – rice, soaked for two hours
• 1 cup – Jackfruit chunks, canned or fresh one
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1 tbsp – Cardamom powder
• 2 tbsp – yellow gram, roasted
• 1/4 cup – grated Coconut
Method:
- Grind the soaked rice, jackfruit chunks and sugar with enough water to a fine paste
- Heat some oil, add the ground paste and cook on medium flame till it turns thick – like dough.
- Add the cardamom powder, roasted gram and grated coconut, mix everything well and keep aside
- Shape small balls with the dough and arrange them on a greased plate and steam for 10 mins in an idli cooker.
