Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Toor Dal
• 2 cups – Jaggery (powdered)
• 2 – Cardamoms
• 1 cup – All-purpose flour
• 2 tsp – Oil
• Oil for deep frying
• Water
• A pinch of salt

Method:

  1. Add some water to the flour along with 2 tsps oil and salt. Knead well. Keep aside for 3-4 hours.
  2. Boil water and add the Toor dal.
  3. When it is half cooked, add powdered jaggery and the cardamoms.
  4. Cook well and grind when it is still warm.
  5. Make small balls from the maida dough.
  6. Flatten them on your palm. Put some sweet stuffing inside and cover.
  7. Deep fry till done. Serve hot.
