Ingredients:

• 1 cup – tender Jackfruit
• 1/4 cup – grated Coconut
• 1 tbsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Coriander seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds

Method:

  1. Mash the jackfruit with hands.
  2. Roast urad dal and coriander seeds in one tsp oil in a kadai.
  3. Grind coconut and chilli powder together coarsely.
  4. To this, add fried dal and coriander seeds and grind to a fine powder.
  5. Mix this powder to the jackfruit.
  6. Heat 1 tsp oil in a kadai.
  7. Add mustard seeds.
  8. When it splutters, add jackfruit.
  9. Fry open, on low flame, stirring in between.
  10. Add some salt and stir.
  11. Remove from fire once cooked and serve hot with chapatti or rice.
