Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Sugar
• 1.5 cups – water
• 1 tsp – Cardamom powder
• Saffron color
• 2 cups -plain flour
• 1.5 cups – ghee.
• nuts for garnishing

Method:

  1. Boil water and sugar. Remove from heat, add essence and colour. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Roast the flour over medium heat for 10 mins.
  3. Add ghee and fry for further 5-7 mins till golden brown.
  4. Slowly add the sugar syrup to the flour mixture. Quickly and constantly keep stirring till it forms a smooth paste.
  5. Grease a plate. Pour the paste on to the plate. Decorate with nuts.
  6. Cover the thali and set it in the refrigerator for an hour.
  7. Cut into desired shape.
