Ingredients:

• 1.5 cups – Rice flour, roasted
• 2- 3 drops yellow colour
• 1/2 cup – hot Milk diluted with 1/2 th cup water
• 3 tsp – oil
• 1/2 th cup – grated Coconut
• 2 cups – sugar, powdered
• 1 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 1/2 cup – khoya

Method:

  1. Add the rice flour with diluted milk, little by little, to avoid formation of lumps.
  2. Mix yellow colour to it and make round balls. Keep it aside.
  3. Mix, coconut, sugar, cardamom powder in a heavy-bottomed pan.
  4. Add khoya. Stir it on low flame. Then cool it.
  5. Stuff the prepared coconut khoya mixture in rice balls.
  6. Fold the edges tapering to the top.
  7. Now steam the modaks in a cooker for 5 mins.
  8. Decorate with chopped pistachio.
  9. Refrigerate for 30 mins and serve.
