Ingredients:
• 1 cup – dried and kidney beans (rajma), soaked over night
• 2 – onions, chopped
• 1 tsp – Ginger and Garlic paste
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 – tomatoes, chopped
• 2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – garam masala/all spice powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 3 tbsp – oil
• salt to taste
• 2 tbsp – chopped Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
- Wash kidney beans/rajma and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry the onions till they turn golden brown.
- Add tomatoes ginger and garlic paste and fry well.
- Now add the soaked kidney beans/rajma and all the other ingredients and mix well.
- Add sufficient water and pressure cook for about 20 mins till the kidney beans/rajma become soft.
- Serve with chapattis or bread.
