Ingredients:
• Chicken – 1 kg
• Red Chilli powder – 2 tsp
• Oil|- 3-4 tsp | Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• Curds – 4 tsp
• Onion – 1 (chopped)
• Coriander powder – 2 tsp
• Garam Masala powder – 1.5 tsp
• Coriander for garnishing
• Salt to taste
• Ingredients for ground paste:
• Dry Coconut – 1/2 cup
• Onions – 2
• Tomato -1
• Ginger – 2 inches
• Garlic – 8-10 pods
• Roast the above in little oil and grind to fine paste.
Method:
- Marinate chicken with curd, salt and turmeric for 2 hours.
- In pre-heated oil, add cut onions and fry till golden brown.
- Add marinated chicken and keep stirring.
- Add one liter of warm water and cook on medium flame, till almost done.
- Remove and keep aside.
- Separately, heat oil and add ground paste, garam masala powder and add salt to taste.
- Keep stirring till oil starts separating from masala.
- Add chicken and cook till done.
- Garnish with coriander.
- Serve hot.
