
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – Kollu / Horse gram
• 1 – Tomato, roughly chopped
• 2 tsp – Tamarind pulp (optional)
• 2 tsp – finely chopped Coriander leaves
• Salt – to taste
• To Temper:
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 2 – small Red Chillies
• A few Curry leaves
• Hing – A generous pinch
• 1 tsp – Oil
• To crush coarsely :
• 3 – Garlic pods
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds (Jeera)
• 10 – Peppercorns
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan add the items listed under ‘to temper’.
- Then add required salt, turmeric powder and hing.
- Add the cooked kollu and saute for a minute.
- Then add tomatoes and saute till it turns slightly turns brown.
