Ingredients:

• 1 Chicken
• 6 small Onions
• 5 Cloves Garlic
• 2 Tomatoes
• 4 Red Chillies
• 1 tsp – black pepper
• 1 tsp – fennel
• 1/2 tsp – cumin
• 1/2 tsp – Fenugreek
• Salt to taste
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric
• 1 piece Cinnamon stick
• 1/4 Coconut

Method:

  1. Skin, clean and cut chicken into 10 pieces
  2. Peel garlic and onion
  3. Roast chillies, black pepper and half the amount of fennel and cumin
  4. Grind to make a coarse powder
  5. Add sliced onion and garlic and pound with spices
  6. Heat oil in a fry pan. Add whole fenugreek and fennel. Add roughly chopped tomatoes and fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Add the chicken and fry well till brown. Add salt and turmeric. Add cinnamon stick and pound onion, garlic and spices. Cook on a slow fire till chicken is three-fourth done.
  8. Add ground coconut, ground ginger.
  9. Continue cooking till chicken is cooked and dry
