Ingredients:

• Lady’s fingers – 30
• Green chillies – 12
• Tamarind paste – 2 tsp
• Coriander powder – 1.5 tsp
• Tomato – 1
• Onion – 1
• Jaggery – 1/2 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
• Oil -1 tsp
• Mustard – 1/4 tsp
• Urad Dal – 1/2 tsp
• Curry leaves – a few

Method:

  1. Chop onion, tomato, and chillies.
  2. Cut ladyfingers into thin slices.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, and fry the lady finger till the sliminess disappears and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil and splutter mustard.
  5. Add urad dal, curry leaves, and green chillies and saute.
  6. Then, add onion and tomato, and saute for a while.
  7. Add the fried ladyfingers, salt, coriander powder, tamarind paste, turmeric powder, jaggery and little water, and cook till done.
  8. Serve hot.
