Ingredients:

• 1 cup – quick cook Oats
• 1 – Lemon
• 1/8 tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt as needed
• 1.5 cups – water
• To Temper: 1-2 tbsp – sesame oil
• 3/4 tsp – mustard
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1 tsp – Channa dal
• ground nut (optional), a few
• 1 sprig – Curry leaves
• 1/8 tsp – asafetida
• 2-3 -red chilli or Green chilli

Method:

  1. Heat a pan with oil and temper the items given in the same order.
  2. Saute on medium flame until the mustard splutters.
  3. Add the water, turmeric powder, the lemon juice, and salt. Bring to boil.
  4. Add the oats and mix well. Cook covered for 3 minutes in medium low flame.
  5. Serve hot.
