Ingredients:
• Broken Wheat (dalia) – 1 cup
• Skimmed Milk – 1 litre
• Dates – 1/2 kg
• Jaggery – 100 g
• Powdered Cashew nuts – 1/4 cup
• Silver Vark for decoration
• Powdered green Cardamom – 1 tsp
Method:
- Dry roast the broken wheat and pressure cook for 10 minutes with 2 cups of water.
- Add milk, powdered jaggery and diced dates and cook for at least one hour, till it is reduced and thickened.
- Add powdered cashew nuts and powdered cardamom and cook for 5 minutes more.
- Decorate with silver vark while serving.
