
Ingredients:
• 500 g – hilsa fish
• 4 – 6 tsp – Mustard Seed
• 2 – 4 – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – kalonjee (onion seed)
• 2 tbsp – Mustard oil
• 2 tbsp – Curd
• 1 tsp -turmeric powder
• 2 – 4 cloves- Garlic
• salt
Method:
- Clean and wash the fish.
- Cut the fish into 1 cm thick slices.
- Coat with salt and turmeric powder.
- Grind mustard seeds and green chillies into a fine paste.
- Blend curd and keep aside.
- Now add mustard paste, curd, and shredded garlic cloves to the fish and marinate it for half an hour.
- Heat oil, add kalonjee then add marinated fish, slit green chillies and 2 cups of water into it.
- Cook it on low flame till fish becomes tender.
- Serve hot with plain rice.
