Ingredients:
• 1 kg – jackfruit, cut into pieces
• 1/2 kg – raw mangoes, cut into pieces
• 2 tbsp – banarasi rai, pound coarsely
• 2 tbsp – fennel seeds, pound coarsely
• 1 1/2 tbsp – Fenugreek seeds
• 1 tbsp – Nigella seeds
• 1 tbsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tbsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – asafetida powder
• Mustard oil
• salt to taste
Method:
- Combine all the ingredients except oil with the fruit and mix thoroughly.
- Arrange in a large glass jar.
- Heat oil to smoking point.
- Allow to cool and pour enough oil on top to cover.
