Ingredients:

• 1 litre – Milk
• 6 to 8 tbsp – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Milk (room temperature)
• 3 to 4 tbsp – custard powder (vanilla flavour)
• 3 to 4 – alphonso mangoes (cut into small pieces)

Method:

  1. Boil the milk in a heavy bottomed vessel.
  2. Then let it simmer a while.
  3. Mix the custard powder in 1/2 cup of milk.
  4. Gradually add this to the boiling milk, stirring continuously with another hand to avoid any lumps.
  5. Add sugar and continue boiling it till the sugar dissolves completely. Let it cool.
  6. Add the mango pieces and refrigerate.
  7. Serve chilled.
