Ingredients:

• 2.5 cups- Flour
• 15 tsp- Salt
• 1 tsp- Chilli powder
• 4 tsp- Castor Sugar
• 4 ground Chillies (optional)
• 1 tsp- Bicarbonate Of soda
• 1 tsp- Cumin crushed
• 5 tbsp- Vanaspati
• Water to mix

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to the required temperature. Sift together the flour, bicarbonate of soda, salt, sugar and the powders.
  2. Rub in vanaspati into the mixture.
  3. Add crushed cumin, ground chillies, water and make into a pliable dough.
  4. Roll out 1 cm thick, cut into desired shape and bake for 12-15 minutes, in the centre of the oven, brushing once with melted fat halfway through baking.
  5. Let cool on tray.
