
Ingredients:
• 1.5 cups – Bengal gram, soaked in water for 3 hours
• 1 bunch dill leaves, finely chopped
• 1 small bunch coriander leaves, finely chopped
• 5-6 green chillies, crushed
• salt as per taste,
• 2 tbsp – finely chopped Onions (or other veggies like Carrots as desired).
Method:
- Drain dal
- Reserve 1/4 cup and grind the rest to a batter with minimal or no water.
- Add all other ingredients, including reserved whole dal
- The batter for vadas is ready
- Add 2-3 tbsp hot oil to the mixture.
- Heat oil, make patties with moist palm.
- Drop carefully into the hot oil.
- Fry first one side then the other, till golden brown.
- Serve hot with green chutney, tamarind chutney or ketchup.
